This is a Bachmann 53253 N Norfolk & Western 4-8-4 Class J Steam Locomotive #611. Features: DCC sound-equipped with Econami Sound Value package, precision motor, diecast boiler, underframe, and tender frame, separately applied detail parts and laser-cut exterior detailing, diecast finescale driver spokes, E-Z Mate Mark II coupler, rear Performs best on 11.25 radius curves or greater.

First introduced in the early 20th century, the 4-8-4 to rail yards by storm primarily hauling coal and other forms of freight across state lines in the US and rail-ways in various other countries. While later models would improve on the 4-8-4’s limitation, this locomotive still made its place in history as a pioneer of 20th century rail-road industry, and is featured in some museums today as a testament to how far the industry has truly come!

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. This item does not run due to bad drive gears. The side rods on the right side are missing. The original box is included. The instruction manual is included. This item has been serviced by our repair department.
