Here is a Bachmann 11315 HO Custom N & W Class J 4-8-4 Steam Locomotive & Tender #608. This locomotive features plastic construction, plastic trucks, has a smoke unit, powerful motor, and headlight.

First introduced in the early 20th century, the 4-8-4 to rail yards by storm primarily hauling coal and other forms of freight across state lines in the US and rail-ways in various other countries. While later models would improve on the 4-8-4’s limitation, this locomotive still made its place in history as a pioneer of 20th century rail-road industry, and is featured in some museums today as a testament to how far the industry has truly come!

This item has been graded per TCA standards (Restored/Repainted) R-3: Good based on visual appearance. There are a few light rub marks and small paint chips present on the locomotive and tender. Tender rear coupler is missing and not included. The interior portion of the tender where the coal load would go has been painted over black by the previous owner. This item has been out on display previously and its overall appearance could be significantly improved with a thorough dusting or a light wipe down. The original box is included.
