Additional Information: This is the American-manufactured steam locomotive put in use by the English Railway Company, Southern. The Lyn model of the Baldwin locomotive gets its name from the Lyn River in Great Britain. This model was originally manufactured for the Lynton & Barnstable Railway, before ownership was passed to Southern Railway. This Big Haulers version, it comes with the Southern road name and 762 road number.

This item has been graded per TCA standards (Restored/Repainted) R-3: Good based on visual appearance. The lettering paint is peeling off this unit. It appears the previous owner tried to touch up the lettering but did not finish and left noticeable brush strokes and paint globs. The front headlamp is slightly bent upwards. One of the side “Lyn” signs has broken off and is missing from the unit. Some of the trim pieces are a little loose but will pop back into place. The wheels show moderate run-time, the rear wheels have some chipping. There is dust and grime buildup on this unit. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The front knuckle coupler has broken off this unit, but is included. The instruction manual is not included.
