Lionel 2026 Vintage O Lionel Lines 2-6-2 Steam Locomotive & Tender. Its features include a diecast boiler shell, an open-frame motor, an operating puffing smoke unit, a remote control forward-neutral-reverse e-unit, an operating headlight, a decorative bell, metal side rods, and metal wheels. The 2026 was Lionel’s most popular O27 locomotive in the postwar era.

Brought onto the scene in the late 19th century and continuing use into the early 20th century, the 2-6-2 was a durable little model with some even surviving through the first World War seeing continued use in smaller capacities. These models were used for a variety of purposes from hauling coal loads to pulling smaller passenger cars. The North American model soon became known as the “Prairie” model and would quickly become a favorite in rail-yards around the world!

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. The tender’s shell is detached from the chassis and the shell is from a 6466W that has been plated on a non whistling-chassis. This tender no longer features any whistling functionality. The locomotive and tender show scratches and spots of paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. The locomotive and tender show rust throughout various sections of the chassis and trucks. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is not included.
