Description

This is a Lionel 2046 Vintage O 4-6-4 Steam Locomotive from 1950-53. This engine was used in many mid-sized O27 sets in the early 1950s. Features include an all metal construction, a reverse unit, light, smoke, and magnetraction. It also features metal hand-rails, wheels and axles. The matching tender is a 2046W but it is not included.

Known as the Baltic in Europe and the Hudson in North America, the 4-6-4 was introduced in the early 20th century finding success in hauling freight and as a shunting model. Their use would initially find great success on North American railways before eventually becoming mainstays in rail-yards around the world!

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good. This item shows scratches, scrapes, and paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. This item shows rust on the chassis and coupler. The rails on this item are partially bent. The jewel markers are missing their jewels. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is not included.
