Description

This is a Lionel 2343 Vintage O Santa Fe F3 ABA Diesel Locomotive Set from 1950-1952. One of the icons of the Postwar Era, the 2343 improved upon the original 2333 with the addition of Magnetraction. The powered unit features dual motors, a remote activated operating horn, an operating headlight, illuminated number boards and cab, diecast metal frame and trucks, a diecast operating coupler on the front and a fixed diecast coupler on the rear. The non-powered unit features an operating light, a diecast frame, trucks, metal wheels & axles. This set also includes the 2343C B Unit with a screen top.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-5: Good based on visual appearance. The B unit has a crack through half the roof. The non-powered A unit has some touchup paint to the silver. There is some rust and missing paint on these items. The horns have some discoloration and one on the powered unit is bent. There are some nicks, scratches, and imperfections to the shells. The pot hole windows are discolored from age and use. The decals to the front of the units have some cracking and peeling. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The instruction manual is not included. The original boxes are not included.
