This is a Lionel 2528WS 1872 5 Star Frontier Set from 1959. This set includes a 1872 steam locomotive with light and smoke, an 1872T tender, and 1877 flatcar with [7] horses, an 1876 mail car, an 1875W passenger car. The 1872 has smoke and headlight. The 1875W has a whistle. The tender has plastic trucks and couplers, while the passenger cars have plastic trucks and metal couplers.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. Each item in this set displays light scratches and paint imperfections across the body and underframe. Spots of surface rust are present on the couplers, trucks, wheels, and axles of each car. Rust is also present across the underside of the tender. The wheels and rolling pickups show signs of average use. The original box is not included. The instruction manual is not included. This item has been inspected by our repair shop.
