Description
This is a Lionel 6- 18031 O Gauge Deutsche Bundesbahn BR-50 4-8-4 Steam Locomotive and Tender European Prototype from 1993. This was a very limited special uncatalogued locomotive that was done in conjunction with the Smithsonian. There were only 150 of these produced. This model is 2-rail O-Scale and will not run on traditional Lionel 3-rail track. This highly detailed locomotive is precisely 1:48 scale and was made of brass in Korea under the design and supervision of Fine Art Models in the U.S., who normally specialize in larger scale, really high end, scale railroad models. It also features a sleuth smoke unit. This car features metal construction , metal wheels and axles, and couplers. The acrylic display case and stand are included.
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. The locomotive and tender have small spots of paint rash throughout various sections of the shell. The locomotive is missing a cover for the one of the smoke stacks, a extra is included. The locomotives coupling and piston rods have nicks and scratches throughout various sections. The tender has a spot of white paint on the right bottom corner of the side panel. The display case has many cracks and scratches along both ends of the case. The stand itself has scuff marks and dust throughout it. The wheels and rolling pickups show signs of average use. The instruction manual is included. The original box is included.
