Here is a Lionel 6-19947 O Gauge 1996 Lionel Toy Fair Boxcar- Blue Box #9700. When Lionel changed ownership in late 1995, the new management team proposed reversing the blue and orange colors on the box. Ultimately it was decided to keep the traditional color scheme, but this car was produced using this color pattern. It is the only car to come packaged this way. Every year each dealer is given one of these cars from Lionel commemorating the New York Toy Fair where the new Lionel line for the coming year is introduced. Since there is only one car made for each Lionel dealer, they are quite rare and collectible. This car features sliding doors, diecast trucks, operating knuckle couplers and metal wheels and axles.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-8: Like New. This item appears to have been run sparingly, and displays overall signs of very light previous use. The original paint is in great shape, and the rest of the unit displays a like-new overall finish. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is included. Overall condition is Like New.
