Description

Here is a Lionel 8040 2-4-2 Black Plastic Steam Locomotive from 1970-71. This engine has a manual switch on the top of the shell. This engine was made without a light or smoke unit. This was one of the first steam locomotives produced during the MPC era.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-5: Good based on visual appearance. This locomotive shows scratches and paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. This locomotive shows rust on the chassis, wheels and axels. The are where the switch is has some glue-like residue on it. The screw near the switch is also slightly out of place. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is not included.
