Description
Here is a Lionel 6-8206 O Gauge New York Central Diecast 4-6-4 Small Hudson Powered Steam Locomotive and Tender from 1972-75. This was the first large steam locomotive produced during the MPC era. It features smoke, Sound of Steam, an electronic whistle, headlight, and the engine has a diecast body. A Whistle control is not included.
Known as the Baltic in Europe and the Hudson in North America, the 4-6-4 was introduced in the early 20th century finding success in hauling freight and as a shunting model. Their use would initially find great success on North American railways before eventually becoming mainstays in rail-yards around the world!
