Description

Here is a Lionel 6-8359 O Gauge Chessie System GM Gold GP7 Diesel Engine from 1974. This was the first Limited Edition item ever made by Lionel and was a tough item to find when it was released. The prototype was made to celebrate the 50th anniversary of GMs Electromotive business. Features include operating headlights, illuminated number boards, remote forward, neutral and reverse, finished in metallic gold with dark blue markings, a powerful pullmor motor, self-centering knuckle couplers and it measures 14 inches long.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. One of the horn trim pieces has fallen off. There is rust present on the metal walkway and railings of this unit. The trucks and couplers show wear. The wheels show average run-time. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The instruction manual is included. The original box is included.
