Locomotive features include metal construction, a motor, reverse unit, an operating headlight, metal side rods, and metal wheels. The tender features plastic construction, metal wheels, plastic trucks, operating knuckle coupler, and whistle. This item has been custom painted and modified by the previous owner. The trucks on both the locomotive and the tender have been replaced, changing the locomotive from a 4-4-2, to a 4-4-4. This item has been custom painted.

This item has been graded per TCA standards (Restored/Repainted) R-3: Good based on visual appearance. This item functioned when tested. There are scratches, scuffs, and spots of rusting across the surface of this item. There are some noticeable imperfections along the edge of the custom paint job.
