Description

This is an HO Scale Brass Overland Union Pacific C-57 2-8-0 Steam Locomotive and Tender – Unpainted. The locomotive features all brass construction, a smoke stack, a decorative bell, a knuckle coupler, metal side rods, metal wheels and axles. The tender features all brass construction, brass trucks, a knuckle coupler, metal wheels and axles.

Introduced as a relative ‘Late-comer” to the industry the 2-8-0 would quickly rise to popularity as a freight hauler the late 19th and early 20th century with its use spanning from the US to Europe. Hailed for its versatility during its run, the 2-8-0 would serve as a heavy freight hauler for various rail-ways before eventually seeing its use wind down starting in 1915. With a handful now in museums, there is still one model still operating in Pennsylvania today!

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. This engine and tender both have visible scuffs and scratches on them. The brass of both units is tarnished and dull compared to a brand new brass item. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is included and has little wear.
