Here is a Bachmann 674 HO Chessie System 4-8-4 GS4 Steam Locomotive & Tender. Features include a powerful motor, plastic construction, plastic trucks, plastic couplers, and plastic wheels.

First introduced in the early 20th century, the 4-8-4 to rail yards by storm primarily hauling coal and other forms of freight across state lines in the US and rail-ways in various other countries. While later models would improve on the 4-8-4’s limitation, this locomotive still made its place in history as a pioneer of 20th century rail-road industry, and is featured in some museums today as a testament to how far the industry has truly come!

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. This locomotive ran intermittently when tested. The wheels show average run-time. The front two wheel set of the “8” is loose which was causing the wheels to get off track and run intermittently. There are some scratches and stickiness throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. This item has been out on display previously and its overall appearance could be significantly improved with a thorough dusting or a light wipe down. The instruction manual is not included.
