Here is a powered LGB 2080D G Scale 2-6-2T Steam Locomotive. Features include a motor, decorative bell, operating lights, latch couplers, a smoke unit, metal wheels and metal side rods.

Brought onto the scene in the late 19th century and continuing use into the early 20th century, the 2-6-2 was a durable little model with some even surviving through the first World War seeing continued use in smaller capacities. These models were used for a variety of purposes from hauling coal loads to pulling smaller passenger cars. The North American model soon became known as the “Prairie” model and would quickly become a favorite in rail-yards around the world!
