This is a Lionel 228 Vintage O Canadian National Alco A Pwd. Diesel Locomotive – RARE from 1961 only. Features include a motor, a 2-position reverse unit, an operating headlight, a decorative horn, plastic trucks, fixed couplers and metal wheels. This is a difficult Alco to find.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-5: Good based on visual appearance. This item appears to have been run, and displays overall signs of light previous use. There are scuffs and scratches on the shell and chassis of this item. The gear lever is missing. There are various spots of paint loss. and discoloration on the shell and chassis. The underframe has rust throughout. The wheels have rust and show signs of heavy run-time. The original paint is in great shape, and the unit displays excellent overall finish. This item has been out on display previously and its overall appearance could be significantly improved with a thorough dusting or a light wipe down. The instruction manual is not included.
