Description

Here is a Lionel 1666 Vintage O 2-6-2 Diecast Steam Locomotive #1666. The 1666 locomotive has the following standard features: a 2-6-2 wheel arrangement with a black-painted, diecast boiler, full complement of detailed driving wheel hardware, nickel-rimmed spoked drive wheels, diecast trailing truck, three-position E-unit, headlight, and an ornamental bell and decorative whistle. The 1666 does not have a smoke unit.

Brought onto the scene in the late 19th century and continuing use into the early 20th century, the 2-6-2 was a durable little model with some even surviving through the first World War seeing continued use in smaller capacities. These models were used for a variety of purposes from hauling coal loads to pulling smaller passenger cars. The North American model soon became known as the “Prairie” model and would quickly become a favorite in rail-yards around the world!

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. This locomotive has been tested and is functional. This locomotives smoke stack shows white residue around the rim. This locomotive shows scratches and paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. This locomotive shows rust on the chassis, trucks, wheels, and axels. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is not included.
